Frequently asked questions

Do I need a visa to visit Egypt?

Most visitors need a tourist visa. Many nationalities can apply online for an e-visa at visa2egypt.gov.eg or get a visa on arrival at Egyptian airports, and some nationalities need a security approval in advance. Rules change, so check before you travel — we are happy to check for you.

Are your tours private?

Most of our tours run privately for you and your companions, with your own guide and an air-conditioned vehicle. Each tour page lists exactly what is included.

How do I pay?

For tours marked for online payment you can pay securely by card. You can also send a request and pay later, after we confirm the details with you. Card payments are processed in Egyptian pounds by Paymob, a licensed Egyptian payment company.

Can you pick me up from my hotel?

Yes. Hotel pickup in the city of the tour is included unless the tour page says otherwise. Tell us your hotel when you book.

When is the best time to visit Egypt?

October to April is the most comfortable time for sightseeing in Cairo, Luxor and Aswan. The Red Sea is good for swimming and diving all year, with the warmest water from June to October.

Can you change a tour or plan my whole trip?

Yes. Use "Plan my trip" to tell us your dates, interests and budget, and we will design a private itinerary with hotels, guides and transport.
